Project Summary:

Students will work in teams to design a system for sorting and recycling containers of varying materials. This project will introduce us to principles of smart devices and assembly modelling as we design a computer program for controlling robotic devices and fabricate a mechanism for depositing the containers into a recycling bin. It is expected that our design will successfully classify containers using data from the physical environment, analyze the container for contamination, and transfer the container to the correct bin for recycling.
