Computer Robot

Get a Grip: Design a system for sterilizing surgical tools using remote sensing and actuation.

Project Summary:

To build a device to move a surgical instrument safely to an autoclave for sterilization. As a team, we will develop a computer program to monitor the movement of a robotic arm to capture and transfer a sterilization jar. We will also build and prototype the container so that during transfer, it can safely hold a surgical instrument in place.
